On July 17, 1992, at 4:00 o’clock in the morning after My practice, I put Buddha’s (which means the absolute, the truth) message and teaching on the white sheet of paper. Later in the morning I translated the teaching and message, and gave it to My students.
The next day I did the same thing. But on the third day, while I was practicing, I thoroughly realized that it was My duty in this century to do this every day. I was a little bit frightened, but I took a strong vow to the Buddha, and I appreciated very much that He gave Me this kind of duty in this life.
While I am doing this, My duty and function, I would like nature, all the ancestors, and all the sentient beings to become comfortable, and especially the people who receive these teachings. At the same time, wherever these teachings go, I wish the people to receive Buddha’s energy and blessings that day, so that everyone will be comfortable and 10,000 things will go well for them. I hope that everyone will come out of their ignorance, attain wisdom, and become great, true, and sincere sons and daughters of Buddha. I wish for everyone to realize the Buddha, so that life after life, they will always have great prosperity and a shining life. Especially the person who receives these teachings every day will have an appreciative life, and for better or worse, will always stay on the Great Path. He will receive great protection from Buddha with all of Buddha’s sons and daughters, live a shining life, and become a great worker for world peace, adorning this world with true beauty.
This was My vow 15 years ago. I knew at that time that relaying the teachings every day without skipping one day for all of you would be very difficult, but I always thoroughly believed that Buddha is always protecting Me and is always with Me. So, with that strong, true belief, I was able to overcome all the difficulty. That is why over the last 15 years and until now, I could relay the Daily Sutra to you and your family every day, without missing one single day.
I appreciate all of your support. I will do My best to fulfill My mission and duty to relay these messages and teachings to you. Thank you very much.
What I am teaching you is not new. You heard about it before in either this or a past life. This daily teaching is simply to remind us so that we can be clear and live correctly in this and future lives. Believing this teaching is entirely the decision of the one who reads it. In addition, applying one’s own concept to this teaching is the choice of the reader himself or herself. © Ji Kwang Dae Poep Sa Nim
